MaeKit is a toolkit app created by Mae Crochets, designed to bring the everyday tools of fiber artists into one central hub. From tracking projects and organizing yarn stashes to calculating stitches and developing patterns, MaeKit helps makers spend less time juggling tools and more time creating.

At its core, MaeKit reflects Mae Crochets’ passion for supporting the fiber arts community. It brings practical tools together in one place, helping makers feel more confident and spend more time doing what they love.

Even as a digital product, MaeKit needed to preserve the creative, approachable, and welcoming spirit that makes Mae Crochets feel like home to its community. I designed a visual identity that extends the Mae Crochets brand while giving MaeKit its own distinct personality as a digital toolkit. The name itself is a playful combination of Mae’s name and the phrase “Make It,” connecting the product to its creator while celebrating the joy of making. Building on Mae Crochets’ handmade warmth, cottage-core whimsy, and soft, modern simplicity, the identity feels familiar to the existing community while remaining practical for a digital experience.

The logo, in-app icons, and sub-logos for individual tools create a cohesive visual system that gives each feature its own identity while maintaining consistency across the app.The result is a brand that bridges the tactile charm of fiber arts with the functionality of a modern digital tool, creating a natural extension of Mae Crochets that can grow alongside the community it serves.
